The Animal Control Facility for Bladen County, North Carolina IS a kill-shelter, so the animals seen here have a limited time to be available. This is a rescue-friendly facility so all reputable rescues are welcome to register in advance as an Adoption Partner. You, as the adopter or rescue organization, are responsible for any and all veterinary work given. No health or temperament guarantees are given or implied. Saturday from 10am until 2pm. Be sure to MENTION ID number when calling. Please understand that the officers may have limited information on the pet's prior history. Pets with a history of aggression are not available for adoption and would not be listed here. The animals in this shelter do not receive any vaccinations. STANLEY COUNTY

Stanely County has numerous labs(adult and puppy) available. The adoption fee is $75 for dogs and includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, and de-worming. The shelter is open Mon. - Fri. 9:30 - 4:00 and Sat. 10:00 - 12:00 noon. It is located at 1037 Coble Ave. (off Hwy 24/27 Bypass) in Albemarle, NC (35 miles east of Charlotte). The adoptions are first come, first served. They won't hold the dogs for you. If you want to adopt any of these dogs, you would pay for the dog at the shelter. The shelter would take the dog to the vet usually the following morning and you would pick the dog up at the vet's office the afternoon after surgery.
