2 Puppies
I found these two puppies on my way to work Friday morning. I saw them on the side of 109 in the Uwharrie mtn range on the side of the road. I attempted to get them then and could not. On my way home at about 5 pm, I saw them again. I attempted to get them and could not so I called my daughter and a friend and her daughter. It took about 2 hrs to get both of them since they were so scared, At one point, a man stopped to ask if we needed help (there were 3 cars on the side of 109). My friend (I was in the woods tracking the puppies) told him no, we were trying to catch 2 puppies and he said that he had tried and they had been there for 3 - 4 days. We brought them home, removed what seemed to be hundreds of ticks, gave them a bath, food, water and lots of love. They were exhausted and slept all night. They have been at our home acquainting themselves with puppy life with 6 other dogs and 4 cats. They have been wormed. We brought them to our vet yesterday where they were given their 1st shots, heartgard and frontline plus. They are on antibiotics for skin irritation from the ticks. They are wonderful little boys and I will only give them to someone who can truly care for them. It would be nice if they could go together since they have been through this ordeal together and are buddies. Please let me know if you have room in your household and heart for these two.
